Columbia Police officers responded to 2909 Falling Leaf Lane, United Credit Union, at 9:38 a.m. today in reference to an armed robbery.
The preliminary investigation reveals two male suspects, one armed with a handgun and the other armed with a weapon, entered the business and demanded money. There were three employees inside the business at the time of the robbery. One suspect put his hands on one of the employees during the incident, however, no one was injured. The suspects retrieved an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area in a westbound direction on Falling Leaf Lane in a vehicle. There was no property damage to the business.
The suspects are described as black males last seen wearing dark colored clothing. Columbia Police detectives and patrol officers were on-scene and are actively following up on all leads in this investigation. The investigation is on-going.
