Interested Parties Meeting: Garth/Sexton Infrastructure Improvement Project  meeting scheduled for Nov. 15

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The City of Columbia Stormwater Utility has scheduled an informal meeting for those interested in a stormwater and sewer project being planned on Garth Avenue and Sexton Road. The Stormwater Utility plans to replace failing storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure along Garth Avenue near Oak Towers. A sidewalk project is also planned to be completed in the area by the Public Works Department. The Interested Parties Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the media center at Ridgeway Elementary, 107 Sexton Road.

The purpose of this informational meeting is to present:

  • The concept plan for replacing failing stormwater and sanitary sewer infrastructure;
  • The concept for water quality basins to be built on the south side of Sexton Road near Garth; and
  • An overview of the sidewalk work to be done in the area.

Information and diagrams showing preliminary concepts will be available for public review, and City engineering staff will be present to answer questions. A public comment form will be available and comments will be considered as the designs are developed.

If you have any questions regarding this meeting, please contact Tom Wellman at (573) 874-2489 or email [email protected].
