The City of Columbia Community Development Department announced on Friday that Grove Construction plans to install a waterline near 24 S. Ninth St., Oct. 24-26, weather permitting. This work will result in a sidewalk closure on the eastside of South Ninth Street between Broadway and Cherry Street.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
Grove Construction is a private contractor that applied for and received a construction permit from the City of Columbia.
