INCIDENT DETAILS:

The preliminary investigation determined the collision occurred as vehicle 1, a black 1998 Honda Civic, was making a left turn from southbound 6th Street onto eastbound Walnut Street. The front-end of vehicle 1 struck the pedestrian who was crossing south to north across Walnut Street, knocking the pedestrian to the ground. The pedestrian sustained injury to his body as a result of the collision. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation. At the time of this release, the pedestrian is in stable condition and may be released from the hospital this afternoon.

 

The investigation is on-going.
