Mizzou homecoming weekend causes COMO Connect service changes

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

As Mizzou welcomes visitors for the homecoming events this weekend, COMO Connect staff wants transit users to be aware of temporary changes to the bus service.

The 1 Black Route will experience detours Friday, Oct. 21 on Rollins Street, from Providence Road to Tiger Avenue. Service to bus stops on northbound Providence Road at Kentucky Boulevard and southbound Brandon Street will be suspended during the detour. The detour will begin at 5 p.m and continue until 8 p.m.

Bus service will not begin until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, due to homecoming parade traffic.

COMO Connect will be providing routes to and from the football game against Middle Tennessee on Saturday. Routes are $1.50 each way from downtown locations and several Columbia hotels. For more information, visit www.comoconnect.org/services/football-routes/.
