COLUMBIA POLICE ASSISTED THE NORTH COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT OUT OF ST. LOUIS WITH JUVENILE WANTED FOR HOMICIDE
On 9/30/16, The Columbia Police Department received information from The North County Police Department in St. Louis of a juvenile who was wanted for a homicide in the Saint Louis Area. The North County Police Department believed the juvenile was going back and forth between Columbia, Missouri and St. Louis, MO.
On 10/5/16, Columbia Police Department Street Crimes Detectives observed an individual who appeared to match the description of the wanted juvenile standing in front of a residence in the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive. Before CPD Street Crimes Detectives could contact the juvenile, he entered the residence on Greensboro Drive. Columbia Police Department Vice Narcotics and Organized Crime Detectives established surveillance in the area and the juvenile was taken into custody after emerging from the residence at 4:06 p.m.
The North County Police Department was notified and responded to take custody of the male juvenile, age 16. The North County Police Department transported him back to their jurisdiction.
