Two separate shots fired calls early this morning

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

At 2:25 a.m., Columbia Police officers responded to the area of Providence Road North and Rain Forest Parkway after multiple calls were received to Boone County Joint Communications regarding shots being heard.

Upon officers' arrival, they located multiple shell casings near the intersection of Providence Road and Rain Forest Parkway. There were no reported injuries or property damage as a result of the fired rounds. The investigation is on-going.

At 5:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive in reference to shots heard.

Upon officers' arrival, they located multiple shell casings in the area. A vehicle in the 1400 block of Greensboro was struck several times by bullets. Two separate garage doors in the area were also struck. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fired rounds and the amount of property damage is unknown at this time. The investigation is on-going.
