UPDATE DETAILS: The intersection of Ninth Street and Elm Street is now open with the next phase of the closure, which will close the intersection of Ninth Street and Locust Street, scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 1 at 6 a.m. This closure is scheduled to run through Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 5 p.m.
Brinkmann Constructors plans to install public storm and sanitary sewer for the Rise Apartments development at 131 S. 10th St.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use caution and use an alternate route.

Street closure on Ninth Street July 12-August 10
Brinkmann Constructors plans to begin installing public storm and sanitary sewer, and tapping the water main, for the Rise Apartments at 131 South 10th St. on Tuesday, July 12.
This will result in a street closure/lane restriction of Ninth Street between Locust and Elm streets. The work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, August 10, weather permitting.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
Brinkmann Constructors is a private contractor that applied for and received a construction permit from the City of Columbia.
