Brinkmann Constructors plans to begin installing public storm and sanitary sewer, and tapping the water main, for the Rise Apartments at 131 South 10th St. on Tuesday, July 12.
This will result in a street closure/lane restriction of Ninth Street between Locust and Elm streets. The work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, August 10, weather permitting.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route whenever possible.
Brinkmann Constructors is a private contractor that applied for and received a construction permit from the City of Columbia.
