The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced Friday that paving operations are scheduled on a section of Forum Boulevard July 5-9. Work will take place on the shoulders of the road between Crestwood Lane and Katy Lane. Work will take place during the evening from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane and flaggers will be directing traffic. Motorist are urged to avoid the area if possible. If that is not possible, then please use caution in the work zone.
The investment in the Forum Pedestrian Bridge and Trail project is $1.3 million, paid for as part of a $5.9 million grant from the Federal Highway Administration.
Lehman Construction and Capital Paving will be doing this work for the City.
