Incident Details:
The Columbia Police Department Vehicle was parked in the grass at Stephens Lake Park Southeast Parking Lot. The collision occurred when the Columbia Police Department K9 Officer was slowly pulling forward and making a right hand turn onto the pavement. The eight year old child was playing in the dirt next to the front passenger's tire. The officer's vehicle grazed the child when the officer pulled forward. The child was released from a local hospital last night with minor injuries.
