Residents in the McKee Street Park neighborhood will have the opportunity to offer input on improvements to the park. A drop-in public input meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on May 18 at the park, 1900 McKee Street.
In addition to park improvements, residents will also be able to learn about future sidewalk improvements. Columbia Public Works staff and Columbia Police officers will join staff from Parks and Recreation at the meeting. Ice cream will be served to residents.
Planned park improvements include renovations to the play field, playground, and safety surfacing, as well as the addition of a single table picnic shelter. Funding for the project will come from 2015 Park Sales Tax funds.
For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 573-874-7460.
