Robbery in the 1700 block of Hinkson Avenue

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Police officers responded to a robbery in the 1700 block of Hinkson Avenue overnight. Public Safety Joint Communications received a call at 12:00 a.m. indicating a male victim was en route to purchase an item from a Craigslist ad when he was robbed.

Upon officers' arrival they made contact with the male victim, 22. The investigation revealed the male victim was approached by a male suspect as the victim was approaching the residence. The suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the victim. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area on foot, heading in a northbound direction. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20's, approximately 5'10" with brown hair and a large build.  The investigation is on-going.
