Arrest made in shots fired at 416 Vandiver Drive

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Police officers arrested David Lee Glaser, 34, of Columbia Friday night after responding to a shots fired call at 416 Vandiver Drive, Machens Vandiver Sales.

Officers responded to the shots fired call at 7:34 p.m. Minutes later officers detained Glaser in the 1700 block of Providence Road North. Glaser matched the description of the suspect in the incident and officers observed a firearm holster on Glaser's hip. A search of Glaser's person located a firearm in his waistband and a baggie of methamphetamine. The investigation revealed Glaser was a passenger in a vehicle that entered 416 Vandiver Drive. As Glaser exited the vehicle, the driver left the scene. Glaser was observed pointing the firearm in the direction of the vehicle as it was leaving and discharging one round. Glaser is a convicted felon.

At this time, there have been no reported injuries or property damage as a result of the fired round. Glaser was arrested at 7:37 p.m. in the 1700 block of Providence Road North for Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond of $4,500.00, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with a bond of $4,500.00, and Felony Unlawful for Certain Persons to Possess a Concealable Firearm with a bond of $4,500.00.
