UPDATE: ARRESTS MADE IN THE ARMED ROBBERY ON DUNHILL COURT
On 3/14/16 at 11:57 A.M., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Business Loop 70 in reference to suspicious persons. Patrol officers arrived in the area and located three subjects matching the description. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Business Loop 70 near Hickman High School which caused a lock down at Hickman High School. During the traffic stop, officers located a stolen firearm and all three subjects were taken into custody.
Columbia Police Department Detectives questioned all three subjects regarding their involvement in the robbery on Dunhill Court. Hines and Mobley were arrested and the third subject was released without charges.
The stolen firearm that was recovered was reported stolen during a burglary in Columbia on 3/9/16. The burglary occurred sometime between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. on 3/9/16 in the 3000 block of Old Highway 63 South.
The following were arrested:
Quincy D. Hines, age 20, from Columbia, was arrested on 3/14/16 at 4:35 P.M. for Armed Criminal Action, Burglary in the First Degree, and Robbery in the First Degree. All three charges have to be set bonds.
Demarqeyan J. Mobley, age 21, from Columbia, was arrested on 3/14/16 at 6:30 P.M. for the following: Armed Criminal Action with a to be set bond, Burglary in the First Degree with a to be set bond, Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond, Receiving Stolen Property Felony with a bond of $4,500.00, and Third Degree Assault with a bond of $500.00.
