The City of Columbia and COMO Connect are proud to once again partner with the True/False Film Fest as it brings some of the world's best nonfiction films to mid-Missouri March 3-6.
On this special weekend, COMO Connect will be offering FREE bus rides for the entire city-wide fixed route system Thursday, March 3 through Saturday, March 5 during normal service hours. Fixed routes operate Monday through Friday from 6:25 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The City's normal fixed bus routes do not run on Sundays. These routes will be free to everyone city-wide. The 10 Red downtown route will operate its normal service hours during the fest and is a convenient option for customers traveling to and from downtown parking garages and lots.
COMO Connect will also be operating an extra downtown route to take film goers straight to the True/False venues and will be operating extended late night hours Thursday, March 3 through Sunday, March 6. The special True/False Film Fest route is also free to everyone and is put in place to offer additional service to the increased downtown traffic of festival goers. This route will run Thursday from 3 p.m. to 1: a.m., and Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1: a.m. Customers can identify the extra bus downtown by the large red True/False ad on the side of the bus, light up signs reading "True/False Venues" over the front and curb side windows, or by the "TF" label on the COMO Connect bus-tracking app. True/False bus stop signs and temporary True/False bus shelters are being added in the downtown area to mark the bus stops that were added for the festival weekend.
Customers don't need a special pass or ID to get free rides on any of the buses this weekend, anyone can just hop on board at the nearest marked bus stop and take advantage of the free transportation around the city. Customers can get route and schedule information at www.COMOconnect.org or see live maps of all the routes on the free COMO Connect app.
