At 7:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Maple Grove Way in reference to a robbery with a gun.
The preliminary investigation reveals a male suspect armed with a handgun attempted to forcefully enter a residence in the area. An occupant inside the residence immediately pushed the door close with the suspect's arm inside the door. The suspect fired one round inside the home, however, no one was injured by the bullet. The suspect then fled the area on foot. No items were taken during the incident and the amount of property damage is unknown at this time. The investigation is on-going.
The suspect is described as a heavy set black male, approximately 5'5". He was last seen wearing a light colored hoodie and jeans.
