Full Public Works crew on today focused on priority routes
(COLUMBIA, MO) - Public Works crews worked through the night treating and plowing priority routes. A full day crew is in place today focused on first and secondary priority routes continuing to treat roads with salt. Forecasts show a chance for light snow Thursday, and we should be dry today, which will give snow and ice some chance to melt. There are still areas of patchy slickness where salt was ineffective so customers are asked to use caution when traveling today.
We appreciate the excellent response of customers moving parked vehicles off the roads along priority routes. This cooperation makes a huge difference in plows being able to get through streets.
