Columbia Public Works will have a full 22 person crew on duty starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 to monitor and treat roads as we have the potential for light accumulations of snow. Forecasts are calling for minor snow accumulations (less than one inch) Saturday. The rain and drizzle of the morning are expected to change to light snow as the temperature drops during the morning, but warm surface temperatures will limit accumulation.
Slickness on roadways and walkways is possible and motorist and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution when traveling.
Customers can monitor snow operations at www.comosnow.com for updates, road conditions, and city treatment efforts.
