The suspect, later identified as David Lamont Reed, 48, of Boone County, entered the residence and took several items from the home before fleeing the residence and entering a nearby vehicle. During investigation officers obtained the vehicle information and tracked the vehicle back to a residence in the 5700 block of Rocky Fork Drive.

The search further revealed one firearm inside the suspect vehicle and three more inside the residence.

Reed appeared to have been hiding inside the attic of the residence and proceeded to enter the neighbor's garage from the attic where he was apprehended by detectives.
