On Tuesday, October 27, hourly parking options will return to the Short Street Parking Garage at 1110 East Walnut Street.
48 ten-hour parking meters have been installed for hourly parking. The metered spaces begin on the first level just past the pay-arm and end on the second level where the ADA parking spaces begin. The meters will accept coin or EZ Park cards as payment options. Meters will be enforced from 8 am to 6 PM Monday through Friday.
Permit holders should not park in a metered space.
Hourly parking was temporarily suspended in mid-September due to issues with the pay-arm. The pay-arm will be locked in an open position to allow permit and hourly customers to utilize the garage.
Public Works staff continue to work on a long-term solution to the pay-arm issue. We appreciate our customers patience and understanding while staff worked on a short-term solution to the hourly parking issue.
