On 10/13/15 at 8:33 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Parkside Drive in reference to a home invasion with a gun.
The investigation revealed two male suspects armed with at least one handgun forced entry into the residence. There were several victims inside the residence at the time of the home invasion. A struggle ensued between the suspects and the victims, and one suspect fled the scene on foot. The victims were able to detain the second suspect until officers arrived.
Upon officers' arrival, a K-9 track was conducted in the area and was unsuccessful in locating the suspect that fled. The victims did not sustain serious injuries, but were evaluated by medics and released at the scene per protocol. Officers recovered a handgun in the residence that was brandished during the home invasion. The suspect that was detained at the scene has been arrested and transported to CPD pending charges. The investigation is on-going.
