Homecoming fans are encouraged to take advantage of COMO Connect Game Day bus routes for a safe ride to and from the MU homecoming game and celebrations this weekend.
COMO Connect adds on seven additional bus routes for MU home football games, designed especially for the local fans and out of town guests traveling to the game and downtown. Two of the special game day routes circle downtown, picking up customers at parking garages and popular pre-game spots, and offering a quick and direct ride to Tiger Ave in front of the stadium. The other five special game day routes circulate hotels and restaurants around town for customers wanting a safe transportation option to the game, but avoiding the busy downtown area.
Anyone can ride the game day bus routes from any one of their 29 pick up locations around town for only $1.50 each way, and buses will be lined up on Tiger Ave across from the stadium for return trips after the game as well. Exact change is required, and COMO Connect prohibits any coolers or open drinks on board the buses.
Maps and schedules of all COMO Connect bus routes, including the Game Day bus routes, can be found online at www.COMOconnect.org. Customers can also see live bus maps and track their location and estimated arrival times on the free COMO Connect app.
Road closures for the homecoming House Decs event happening Friday evening will affect two of COMO Connect's regular routes after 6pm. The 10/Red Downtown bus route will detour Tiger Ave from 6-8pm, with the detoured route turning south on Tiger Ave from Hospital Drive, west on Stadium, north on Providence, and east on Stewart. The MU Tiger Line shuttle service 406 West Loop route will detour Rollins from 6-10pm, with the detoured route continuing north on Providence, turning east on Stewart, south on 6th, east on Conley, and south on Missouri.
Road closures for the homecoming parade will affect COMO Connect start times on Saturday morning. COMO Connect fixed bus routes will start service at 11:00am on Saturday, October 10th, instead of the usual 10:00am Saturday start time.
