On 10/8/15 at 8:05 P.M., Public Safety Joint Communications received a report of shots heard in the 200 block of Highview Avenue. Moments later, a separate report came in referencing a victim with a gunshot wound had entered 206 Business Loop 70 West, Long John Silvers.
Upon officers' arrival to the business they observed a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officers further observed a vehicle matching a suspect vehicle in the drive-thru of the business. Officers conducted a stop with the vehicle and one occupant was arrested for an unrelated matter. No arrests have been made in reference to the shooting. Detectives are actively working the investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
