On 9/11/15 at 5:49 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Steamboat Lane in reference to a weapons incident.
The Columbia Police Department has arrested James F Webb, 21, of Columbia in connection to the incident.
The investigation revealed Webb and a male victim, 21, engaged in a physical altercation inside the residence. During the altercation, Webb brandished a firearm at the victim. The firearm was discharged during the course of the struggle causing both Webb and the victim to sustain non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Webb and two other subjects proceeded to leave the residence by vehicle. At 5:55 P.M., officers located the vehicle at 1300 Fellows Place, Petro-Mart Convenience Store, and conducted a traffic stop. Both Webb and the victim were transported from their separate scenes to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Webb and the victim are known to each other.
Webb was arrested at 1 Hospital Drive for First Degree Assault with no bond, Armed Criminal Action with no bond, and an outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant out of Boone County Sheriff's Department with a bond of $500.00.
