On Friday, August 28, 2015, the Columbia Police Department, assisted by deputies with the Boone County Sheriff's Department and officers with the University of Missouri Police Department, conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Creasy Springs Road at Wingham Drive. The checkpoint stopped northbound traffic on Creasy Springs Road and began at approximately 11:15 P.M. and concluded at 2:33 A.M. During this checkpoint, 65 motorists were contacted. This checkpoint resulted in:
- 1 Driving While Intoxicated arrest
- 1 summons for driving while license suspended
- 3 Felony Warrants
- 1 Misdemeanor Warrant
- 1 drug charge for possession of under 35 grams of marijuana
- 1 charge for resisting arrest by flight
- 1 charge for transporting weapon without permit
- 1 charge for receiving stolen property (stolen gun recovered)
