On 8/21/15 at 1:29 A.M., officers were dispatched to the area of East Walnut Street and North William Street in reference to a robbery.
The investigation revealed a male victim, 20, and another male subject were walking eastbound on Walnut Street from College Avenue when they were approached by two male suspects at the intersection of Walnut Street and William Street. One suspect distracted the male subject and the other suspect approached the victim who was carrying a backpack; the suspect then struck the victim. The suspects grabbed the backpack and ran northbound on William Street.
Officers conducted a K-9 track and were unsuccessful in locating either suspect. The suspects are described as black males in their late teens or early 20's with thin builds. One suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt and shorts. The second suspect was wearing a bright colored shirt and a dark hat. The investigation is on-going.
