Columbia Police Department Releases Results of Impaired Drivers Enforcement from August 6, 2015 - August 9, 2015
(Columbia, MO) - On Friday, August 7, 2015 the Columbia Police Department, assisted by deputies with the Boone County Sheriff's Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Green Meadows Road at Gray Oak Drive. The check point began at approximately 10:02 P.M. and concluded at 11:47 P.M. During this checkpoint, 150 motorists were contacted. This checkpoint resulted in:
1 - Summons for no operator's license
1 - Traffic Stop for avoiding the checkpoint
The second checkpoint was conducted in the 2500 block of Old Highway 63. The checkpoint began at approximately 12:27 A.M. and concluded at 2:28 A.M. both northbound and southbound traffic was stopped. During this checkpoint, 99 motorists were contacted. This checkpoint resulted in:
4 - Driving While Intoxicated Arrests, one was a persistent offender (felony DWI) and two refused breath tests and search warrants were obtained and executed for blood draws.
1 - Summons for no operator's license
2 - Summons for minor in possession of intoxicants
1 - Summons for false identification
