Earlier tonight, Columbia Police Department officers responded to two separate robbery calls at local businesses.
At 7:29 P.M., officers were dispatched to 126 South Providence Road, Midwest Petroleum, in reference to a robbery with a gun. Minutes later, at 7:38 P.M., officers also responded to 3102 Green Meadows Way, Dominos Pizza, in reference to a robbery with a gun. The preliminary investigations revealed male suspects entered the businesses armed with handguns and demanded money. The suspects fled the scenes with undisclosed amounts of money in unknown directions of travel.
Both cases have been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division for further investigation. This is all the information available for release at this time.
If you or anyone you know has any information regarding the robberies, please contact the Columbia Police Department, or call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
