ARREST MADE IN ARMED ROBBERY IN THE 300 BLOCK OF TIGER LANE

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 7/23/15 at 1:10 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Tiger Lane in reference to a robbery. The investigation revealed two male suspects forced their way into a male victim's home. The suspects pointed handguns at the victim and demanded money. The suspects proceeded to assault the victim and fled the scene in a silver Chrysler 300. Officers obtained the vehicle's registration during their investigation.  

Officers located the suspect vehicle at 2467 East Heying Drive.  Further investigation revealed Gregory Lashaun Brewster, Jr., 19, had driven the vehicle during the time of the robbery.  CPD Street Crimes Unit attempted contact with Brewster at the residence. Brewster fled upon contact and led officers on a short foot pursuit. Brewster was eventually arrested at 6:55 P.M. During a search of Brewster's person, officers located a marijuana pipe and marijuana in Brewster's possession.  A search warrant was later served at the residence by CPD officers and Boone County deputies.

Brewster was arrested for Robbery in the First Degree with a to be set bond, Armed Criminal Action with a to be set bond, First Degree Assault with a to be set bond, Felony Resisting Arrest with a bond of $4,500.00, Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance with a bond of $500.00, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond of $500.00. The investigation is on-going.
