Due to on-going construction and road closures on Elm Street in downtown Columbia, a section of the COMO Connect number 2 Gold bus route will be moved one block north to Locust Street for a long term detour until at least August 2016. This route change affects the number 2 Gold route traveling in both directions (2A Gold and 2B Gold) and will temporarily close four (4) bus stops along Elm, and move them one block north to Locust. Affected bus stops are currently located at Eighth & Elm and Tenth & Elm, which will now be located at Eighth & Locust and Tenth & Locust.
The new 2A Gold route will travel north on Hitt Street, west on Locust Street, south on Sixth Street, and west on Elm Street. The new 2B Gold route will travel east on Elm Street, north on Sixth Street, east on Locust Street, and south on Hitt Street.
This construction and new bus route are expected to last until at least August 2016. Updates to the route will be announced in the summer of 2016 as construction project(s) near completion and lanes of traffic are scheduled to reopen.
Customers will be notified of the route change and bus stops moving on the COMO Connect website (www.COMOconnect.org), social media, and through signs posted on affected bus stops and bus routes. See attached map for route change details.
