Parks and Recreation Presents Fitness is Fun

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Celebrate National Park and Recreation Month at the "Fitness is Fun" Family Fun Fest from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 15 at Cosmo Park. This month's theme:

Fitness is Fun, sponsored by the ARC

The event will be full of fun demonstrations, hand-on activities, and performances.

6:00- Lil' Lady Bulldogs Cheer

6:15- Tae Kwon Do Demonstration

6:30- Flipz USA Gymnastics

6:45- Fun Run Around Cosmo Fitness Trail begins (prizes for all participants)

7:30- Eagle Elite Cheer

7:30- Fun Run 2 around the Fitness Trail begins

Other activities at Family Fun Fest will include hopscotch, jump roping, four-square, an inflatable obstacle course, and "Golfzilla" (inflatable golf target) Also, kids will have the chance to check out a fire truck from the City of Columbia.

The Fun Fests feature a new theme each month and offer free entertainment for the entire family such as music, special performances, art activities, bounce-houses, hands-on activities, balloon-animals, face painting and fun for all ages.

The Family Fun Fests are sponsored by the Convention & Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5, KOMU TV8, and Rockin' Rents Inflatable Entertainment.
