(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 06/28/2015, at approximately 2:14 P.M. officers were dispatched to the area of Currituck Lane and Bodie Drive in reference to multiple reports of shots being fired.  During the investigation, officers discovered a residence in the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive had multiple bullet holes in the exterior.  In addition, officers located several cartridge casings in the area.

Preliminary investigation reveals the initial shots reportedly came from a Gray or dark colored vehicle occupied by several black males.  Some of the shots fired are believed to have struck the exterior of a residence in the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive. One of the vehicle occupants reportedly aimed a handgun at a neighbor of the bullet ridden duplex.  The neighbor responded by firing shots at the vehicle which then drove away from the area.  No injuries have been reported at the time of this release.  No other information is available for release at this time.
