Two Assistant Chief's Graduated From Senior Management Institute For Police

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

TWO ASSISTANT CHIEF'S GRADUATED FROM SENIOR MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE FOR POLICE

Assistant Chief John Gordon and Assistant Chief Jeremiah Hunter graduated on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP) at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. SMIP is a program that provides senior police executives with three weeks of intensive training in the latest management concepts and practices used in business and government as well as discussions about challenges law enforcement executives face today.  This is an elite management course that has limited enrollment and the attendee must be in upper management from Lieutenant or above.  Chief Burton is very proud that all of his commanders have graduated from SMIP. Assistant Chief Richenberger graduated on July 28, 2011 and Deputy Chief Schlude graduated on June 26, 2014.

Assistant Chief Gordon stated, "The ability to have attended such a course and network with other law enforcement management gives us insight into what we are doing well here at CPD and ideas for the future. I'm lucky to have had such an opportunity."

Congratulations to Assistant Chief Gordon and Assistant Chief Hunter for graduating from this intensive training in law enforcement.
