On 6/11/15 at approximately 6:12 A.M., officers made contact with a female victim in the Columbia Police Department lobby in reference to an assault.
The investigation revealed at approximately 12:30 A.M., the female victim, 33, was approached from behind by a male suspect as she was walking on Paris Road, near Mount Vernon Avenue. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground, held her down, and attempted to remove her clothing. A vehicle began to approach the area and the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties to thirties, approximately six foot tall, and weighing around 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and white shorts with a blue stripe along the side. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the attempted sexual assault.
