SHOOTING NEAR 2900 RANGE LINE STREET
On 5/11/15 at 8:58 P.M., officers were dispatched to a shots fired in the area of 2900 Range Line Street. Joint Communications received a phone call from the male victim; age 31 that he had been shot in the stomach. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
The investigation revealed the victim was visiting a family member at Colonial Village Trailer Court. The victim said he left the trailer and was approached by a dark colored sport utility vehicle occupied by two black males. The victim got in the vehicle and he was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. The victim got out of the sport utility vehicle and was shot by one of the suspect's. The victim said he called 9-1-1 when he realized he had been shot.
Officers did locate several casings in the grass near 2900 Range Line Street. There is no suspect information at this time. There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.
