Recycling Drop Off Decommissioned - Patricia's Foods at 900 North Keene St

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Effective today, the recycling drop off located at Patricia's Foods is no longer in service.

Due to changes with the ownership of the property, the space used for the collection containers is no longer available.

The City of Columbia would like to thank Patricia's Foods, for the many years they supported recycling by allowing the Columbia Public Works Department - Solid Waste Division, to have a recycling drop off point on the property.

No alternate site in the same general area has been located for a recycling drop off point as of this release. Public Works Solid Waste Division will begin searching for potential sites in the area to determine if a partnership could be forged with a property owner and tenant. In the meantime, Home Depot has been very kind to allow us to place two (2) additional recycling containers on their lot at 3215 Clark Lane.

In the meantime, the City of Columbia encourages customers who use drop off recycling points to use one of the following existing sites -

• Columbia Regional Airport - (cardboard only; no glass or plastic)
• Downtown Columbia - south side of 10th and Cherry Parking Garage
• Home Depot at 3215 Clark Lane
• Mosers Price Chopper at 705 West Business Loop 70
• State Farm Parkway at Nifong Blvd
• Behind Shurz Hall (University of Missouri Campus) off Ashland Road near College Ave
• Dulany Hall (Columbia College Campus) North 8th Street just north of Rogers
• Pannell Street by the Wightman Bldg (Columbia College Campus)

The City of Columbia GIS department will update the Drop Off Recycling map on the GoColumbiaMo.com site as soon as possible.
