Blue Thunder Registration Day Set

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The Blue Thunder Track Club will host their outdoor season registration day on March 14 at the Armory Sports Center (701 E. Ash) in the downstairs recreation area.  Registrants can come by any time from 2 to 5 p.m. The club is for boys and girls ages 6-18.

The cost to join the club is $95, which includes AAU membership, club t-shirt, and unlimited sanctioned meet entries. Payment can be made at registration through cash, check and money order, however, credit and debit cards can't be accepted. Please bring proof of insurance as well as a copy of your child's birth certificate. 

The Blue Thunder outdoor track season starts in April and ends in late July. All skill levels are welcome. Events include sprints, middle distance, distance, jumps, throws, hurdles, relays and race walks. Meets are held in Columbia and out of town. Qualifiers will have the opportunity to compete in the AAU National Junior Olympic Games in Hampton, Virginia in early August.

Registration forms can be found at Parks & Recreation office (1 S. 7th), the Armory Sports Center or simply downloaded from the Blue Thunder website.  Registration forms will not be accepted prior to registration day on March 14.
