What: The Georgetown University Energy Prize team has officially announced Columbia as one of the 50 semifinalist competitors for the $5 million Prize. We're celebrating the milestone and kicking off the CoMo Energy Challenge with an energy open house at Westlake's Ace Hardware.
At the energy open house, experts will be on site to answer your questions, and to help find and demonstrate energy efficiency products. Even better, Westlake's is offering a special "buy 3, get 1 free" discount on LED bulbs to jump start your energy savings.
The event will begin with a press conference and ribbon cutting.
When: Friday, Jan. 30, at 1 p.m. (Food trucks on site for lunch starting at 11 a.m.!)
Where: Westlake Ace Hardware, 1900 Business Loop 70E, Columbia
