SHOOTING IN THE AREA OF SILVER MILL DRIVE AND WHITE RIVER DRIVE

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 1/4/15 at 4:01 P.M., officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Silver Mill Drive in reference to a robbery with a gun. Moments later, multiple calls came in from the area, including the 200 block of White River Drive regarding shots fired.

Upon officers' arrival, one victim was located and transported to a local hospital. The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The victim's name is being held at this time to allow contact with the victim's next of kin.

At approximately 4:27 P.M., officers were advised another gunshot wound victim had arrived at a local hospital. Officers were advised the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Multiple homes in the area were hit by bullets during the shooting, however, the amount of property damage is unknown at this time. Detectives' investigation is on-going and no further information is currently available.
