UPDATE-SUSPECT ARRESTED IN BANK ROBBERY AT 205 S. KEENE STREET AND FIVE ADDITIONAL BANK ROBBERIES IN COLUMBIA

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On 1/3/15 at 10:57 A.M., Columbia Police Department detectives detained Shaun Christopher Becker, 43, of Columbia for questioning in reference to six recent bank robberies, including today's robbery at Boone County National Bank on Keene Street. At approximately 7:30 P.M., Becker was arrested for all six robberies and transported to Boone County Jail.

During the investigation this morning, a K-9 track led officers to clothing matching the suspect's attire during the robbery, as well as a bag used to steal the undisclosed amount of money, a bicycle, and bicycle tracks. Officers located Becker walking on St. Charles Road near Albany Drive. Becker matched the description of the suspect from the robbery and was detained for questioning.

Surveillance video from Boone County National Bank assisted in confirming Becker as the suspect. Money was located in Becker's pants and shoes that matched the amount of money stolen during the bank robbery. Detectives confirmed Becker appeared to be the same person viewed in surveillance video from the previous five bank robberies in Columbia including the following:
