Beginning on Friday, January 2, the new parking enforcement hours, authorized by the city council and endorsed by the Parking Task Force, will take effect.
The new enforcement hours are between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Parking Enforcement Agents will also be distributing informational fliers as an additional means to inform customers of the enforcement hours changes. New informational stickers on parking meters, stating the enforcement hours, will be applied to meters in the near future.
The parking utility reminds our customers there are a number of ways to pay for parking at metered spaces.
- Coins are accepted in all meters
- Credit Cards are accepted in meters
- South 9th Street between Broadway and Locust
- South side of East Broadway between 9th and 10th
- 900 block of University Ave
- 700 block of Hitt Street
- EZ Park Cards are accepted in meters which do not accept credit cards.
City parking garages are free on both Saturday and Sunday.
