The City of Columbia Public Works Department will host an informal Open House concerning accessible parking spaces on East Broadway on Wednesday, December 3 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at 701 E Broadway, City Hall, Room 1A.
The purpose of this meeting is to present design concepts, which include converting existing on-street parking spaces to accessible parking spaces at three locations along East Broadway in the downtown area.
Information and diagrams showing the preliminary design concepts will be available for public review and engineering staff will be on hand to answer questions and listen to feedback. A public comment form will be available at the meeting. Construction of this project is currently scheduled for 2015 pending council authorization. Estimated costs for the project are $43,000 with funding from council appropriated discretionary funding.
