Arrest Made In Kidnapping/Domestic Assault

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

ARREST MADE IN KIDNAPPING/DOMESTIC ASSAULT

On 11/2/14 at 8:05 P.M., officers were dispatched to 3000 Clark Lane, Bob Evans, for a disturbance with a weapon in the parking lot.

The investigation revealed a Megan Keller, age 32, from Columbia, met her ex-husband and their two children ages 4 and 9 in the parking lot of the business. Keller is prohibited from having contact with her children per an order of protection and no parental rights. Keller demanded the male victim turn the children over to her. The male victim refused and Keller pulled out a handgun and threatened the male victim. Keller forcibly removed the children from the male victim's car and placed the children in her car.

Keller left the area telling the male victim she was going to kill the children. Officers' located Keller's vehicle with her and the children inside shortly after the original call came out on Ballenger Lane and Oakview Drive. Keller was arrested without incident and the children were not injured.

Keller was arrested for:

*Armed Criminal Action with a to be set bond

*Violation of Order of Protection x 3 with a to be set bond

*Domestic Assault in the Second Degree with a bond of $4,500.00

*Kidnapping x 2 with a to be set bond

*Attempted Kidnapping x 1 with a to be set bond

*Attempted Robbery in the First Degree x 1 with a to be set bond, for trying to take the male victim's cellphone.
