SHOTS FIRED 1000 BLOCK BROADWAY EAST

On 10/12/2014, at approximately 1:22 A.M. officers were dispatched to a shots fired incident in the 1000 block of Broadway East.  During the investigation, officers located a cartridge casing in the area.  The Criminal Investigations Division was notified. 

A short time later, a male victim arrived at UMC ER, via personal vehicle, with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was admitted for observation.  He was uncooperative with officers and refused to provide a statement.  A consent search of the vehicle used to transport the victim to the hospital was performed.  A bullet was located in the vehicle's rear floor board and recovered.
