Update: Aspen Heights Shooting Suspects Arrested

UPDATE: ASPEN HEIGHTS SHOOTING SUSPECTS ARRESTED

On 9/27/14, Columbia Police Detectives arrested two suspects for the shooting at The Aspen Heights Apartment Complex that occurred on 9/27/14 at 2:13 A.M. CPD detectives arrested:

Christopher L. Herron, age 19, from Columbia, Missouri for;

Second Degree Assault with a bond of $4,500.00Unlawful Use of Weapons with a bond of $4,500.00

Leonard C. Jordan Jr., age 19, from Grandview, Missouri for;

Second Degree Assault with a bond of $4,500.00Unlawful Use of Weapons with a bond of $4,500.0

Witnesses reported Christopher Herron was firing a gun into the air when the physical disturbance happened in front of building 3544.  Herron was arrested at 3:57 A.M. from his address at 3544 Aspen Heights Parkway. Witnesses reported Leonard C. Jordan was shooting into the crowd after Herron started shooting. Jordan was arrested at 4:34 P.M. at the Columbia Police Department.

Both have been transported and released to the Boone County Jail.  No further information is available at this time.
