Three Separate Incidents Overnight

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

THREE SEPARATE INCIDENTS OVERNIGHT

On 8/2/14 at 1:35 A.M., officers were patrolling near the intersection of Range Line Street and Big Bear Boulevard when they heard shots fired coming from the area of 701 Big Bear Boulevard, Sidelines Bar. Officers arrived on the scene and received little cooperation from the business. Officers located multiple shell casings in the street directly in front of the business. There is no suspect information and no reports of anyone injured.

 On 8/2/14 at 2:17 A.M., officers were dispatched to 716 E. Business Loop 70, Auto Zone, in reference to shots fired. Officers arrived on the scene and located multiple shell casings near 1206 Coats, Tom's Auto, and on the east sidewalk of Auto Zone. Officers were unable to locate any witnesses to the shots fired. There was no property damaged and no reports of anyone injured. There is no suspect information.

On 8/2/14 at 2:34 A.M., officers were dispatched to the area of Derby Ridge Drive and Avatar Court in reference to shots fired. Officers arrived on the scene and found a window shot out on a vehicle. Officers observed a trail of blood in the cul-de-sac and the trail led to a residence in the 1400 block of Avatar Court.  Officers searched the residence but no one was injured inside. Officers were notified by a local hospital that a male gunshot victim, age 27, had been brought to the hospital by personal vehicle. Officers arrived at the hospital to find a male victim with non-life threatening injuries who was a victim from the Avatar Court shooting. There is no suspect information.

In all three cases, there is no suspect information and no arrests have been made at this time. Officers have no information that these three incidents are related. All three cases are still under investigation.
