Corrected to remove the reference of chip seal. The roadwork consists only of slab-jacking.
Beginning on Monday, August 4 at 7:30 a.m., Columbia Public Works - Street Division will continue annual maintenance on several Columbia roads. This maintenance consists of "slab jacking". This process is used with concrete road panels have settled and need to be raised. Holes are drilled into the concrete slabs and high-density polyurethane is pumped under pressure to raise the slab and create a level and strong base under the concrete slab.
Some of the roadways which will be affected the week of August 4, weather permitting, are:
Monday, August 4
Maguire Blvd between Emily Dr and Stadium Blvd
Tuesday - Friday, August 5 through August 8
Chariton Dr between Osage Dr and Pettis Dr
Rolling Rock Dr between Rolling Rock Dr and Rock Cliff Dr
Huntridge Dr between Carter Ln and Bluegrass Ct
Cape Cod Ct at Sudbury
Clydesdale Dr between Blue Ridge Rd and the end of Clydesdale Dr
Motorist and non-motorized transportation users are urged to use caution in the construction areas and use alternate routes when possible.
We appreciate your patience while we improve Columbia's roadways.
