With the launch of the city's new bus system only weeks away, COMO Connect staff is hitting the streets to inform customers about the upcoming changes and to build interest in the new transportation options. The traveling COMO Connect Information Bus has targeted many high-traffic areas around town to park and hand out information to pedestrians and transit customers. Next week's schedule of stops includes area farmer's markets, grocery store parking lots, shopping centers, and the health department, all with the common goal of drawing attention to the important issue and making sure customers are fully aware and prepared for the change on August 4th.
The COMO Connect Information Bus was designed by city staff to draw attention, and it can't be missed with its bright white design and colorful new COMO Connect logo stretched across the side. Travelers on foot or in a car would be drawn to notice the large mobile advertisement, and hopefully stop in for some more information. The information bus will be staffed by COMO Connect employees that can hand out maps and talk to customers about their questions and concerns. There's also free 1-on-1 trip planning for customers that need a little more help navigating the new system, and a drawing for customers to win free bus passes.
For more information on the new system, tips on how to ride the bus, and for a schedule of upcoming free COMO Connect classes, customers can visit the new COMO Connect website at www.COMOconnect.org.
A full list of next week's scheduled Information Bus locations is attached.
