COLUMBIA POLICE CAUTION RESIDENTS ABOUT BURGLARIES IN THE AREA OF THE 3000 BLOCK OF STADIUM
The Columbia Police Department has investigated 4 burglaries between May 1st and May 8th in the 3000 block of Stadium Boulevard. The burglar appears to be targeting residences of college age females. The Columbia Police Department reminds all female students to take safety precautions against burglars and against being victims of personal attack.
Residents should make sure all windows and exterior doors are locked while they are home, especially at night. Female residents should be aware of their surroundings, walk in well-lit areas, and walk with friends when available.
The only suspect description available now is a white male, approximately 6"0", 200 pounds, wearing a stocking cap.
Residents are urged to report suspicious persons or activity in the area by calling 911 in case of an emergency or 573-442-6131 for a non-emergency.
